Our Program

In our Adult Day Services, elderly adults and individuals with medical or physical disabilities take part in social and recreational activities in a safe and structured environment.

This daytime care program is designed for families with aging parents, an ailing spouse or family member with physical disabilities who aren’t able to stay home alone safely during the day.

Help for Working Caregivers

Adult Day Services enables caregivers to work outside the home, or receive respite from round-the-clock caregiving, knowing their loved one is in a secure and well-supervised environment. Trained staff members engage participants throughout the day in a variety of interesting and fun activities and community outings, while providing assistance with personal care needs.

Benefits for Elderly Participants

It’s important for seniors to stay active and not become lonely or depressed as they age. Taking part in Adult Day Services provides companionship and social interaction that helps participants avoid the loneliness of spending their days at home by themselves. It also gives them the opportunity to do something away from their caregivers, helping restore feelings of independence they may have lost when they started needing assistance.

The Best Daytime Care Possible

Adult Day Services helps caregivers provide the best care possible for a spouse, parent, adult child or other loved one who needs assistance during the day. We provide

• A licensed program
• Well-trained, caring staff
• Nutritious meals and snacks
• Health monitoring
• Assistance with eating and personal hygiene
• Established safety and emergency procedures

Helping elderly adults and individuals with medical or physical disabilities stay active and as independent as possible is an important part of Easterseals-Goodwill’s work in the community.

Easterseals-Goodwill also offers in-home health care and personal care services to help seniors and adults with medical and physical disabilities continue living independently
at home.
